Quite a tricky title, who would want to have a messy homestead? A reader shares his observation regarding the growth pattern of weeds and stuff in frontierville. Though it may seem random at first, the growth of weeds, wildflowers and other “messy stuff” can be predicted.
The reader shares that a mess like the one posted above starts with a single patch of weeds and wildflowers. If left to grow, either rock or a skeleton will grow around its proximity.
Of course, its all about taking immediate action once a patch of grass appears but it is advisable to save a few weeds and flowers because some Frontierville Quests require them.

Many annoyances in this game, bears every time you cut a tree and then you get rid of all the horrid trees and guess what, snakes upon clearing land, this uses all your points up. I love farmville and cityville but this thing with all its stupid animals snarling is insane

I agree – then it tells you cut down so many trees that you have none left when
you need them. It’s really aggravating. Also all the neighbors you need…no one wants to play to it takes me forever to get anywhere, and horseshoes??? What the heck I can have hundreds of thousands in coins but no horseshoes. why do I keep playing?????
Tip: if you leave the varmit alone more can not appear. Just scare it away from where you are chopping or clearing but don’t kill it. That’s how I got rid of most of the weeds and trees. If gophers and foxes stop you from harvesting, just use the move tool to move your livestock or crop to a non-red area.
does anyone know how to get more thorns on the land?besides buying them with horseshoes…
First of all I need to know how to get more thorns, grass, wildflowers, rocks, ect. I’ve chopped down trees and still NOTHING! I have like 8 Missions I cannot complete because I need those things. Also I have a groundhog trap that is NOT working!! I’ve planted and planted and still is won’t trap them. Nor is any showing up! Tried potoatoes like it says they like. Still Don’t work. Please someone help!
I feel like horseshoes are a major nuisance. We should be able to trade in a certain amount (although it shouldn’t be an outrageous number) of coins for horseshoes.
@WildRose…it seems w/thorns…if u leave a couple stumps on ur land thorns will appear in a day or two!
