Its the fourth of July and Frontierville is celebrating by giving a series of quests that will give us rare items to brag to our friends. The first part of the quest is actually making some fireworks but the problem would be getting the items required. In order to make fireworks you are required of the following:

  • SaltPeter
  • Fire

Fire would be no problem since its quite abundant, the difficulty would arise in procuring some saltpeter. The game gives out a hint that we need to collect some stuff from the animals.

This actually means that we collect droppings from the animals themselves, if you check out your collections inventory, you will be able to see something called the “Manure Collection” and guess what, you can trade it in for some saltpeter!

The problem is that the names of the manure leaves little clues as to what animal corresponds. So to save time, I have compiled here the list of what animal drops what:

  • Poultry Puddin‘ – Chickens, Geese
  • Piggy Poop- Pigs
  • Bush Brownie – Goats, Sheeps
  • Prairie Pile – Mules, Horses
  • Meadow Muffin – Cows, Oxen

To get these animals to poo, all you gotta do is feed them and hopefully they will errr “drop” (no pun intended). So that means to say, you have to at least get five of each manure to get the required number of saltpeters to complete the fireworks quest. This is quite hard if you have limited number of neighbors so why not increase your neighbors in frontierville?

collected an entire manure collection and then traded it in – even has the ‘completed’ tag. However, I never got any saltpeter. Is this a known glitch? Something else I should do?

The same happened to me I got the saltpeter but then it disappeared…

The same just happened to me – I had 2 prairie piles, traded one collection in and there was the saltpeter – went to the cabin at which moment I apparently ‘lost connection’. When it refreshed, the saltpeter had gone and when I went back to my collections, so had my other prairie pile but the collection has completed! None of my neighbours have horses or mules now that will be ready to feed in time so I can’t complete this task! I’m really cheesed off!!

I’ve had the hardest time getting the “prairie pile” i’ve visited my neighbors (and i have alot) several times a day for a week and NOTHING!!! this is crazy that its that hard to get something

The same thing that happened to Roxi Love is what happens to me. I go visit my neighbors as frequently as I can, yet nothing. I always feed the horses and mules.

I recommend you use the wish list often when trying to complete collections, I completed 7 collections yesterday just by asking friends for the missing items…really speeds things along!
